About This Book

The Rahel Poems are a medley-a very diverse assortment and mixture of poems, ranging from the horrors of wars to the glory of love, and from the whimsical to the poignant. Their form extends from the classical to the modern free verse and even introduces the reader very briefly to poetry beyond modernity, that is to the supermodern concrete poetic form the reader may find difficult to understand and a challenge to even read; it is defined as poetry in which the meaning or effects are conveyed partly or wholly by visual means, using patterns of words or letters and other typographical devices. Concrete poems are objects composed of words, letters, colors and typefaces in which graphic space plays a central role in both design and meaning. It experiments boldly with language, incorporating visual, verbal kinetic, and even sonic elements.
