About This Book

THE QUEEN WAS MARKED FOR DEATH—

But there was still one chance for survival.

Bracing herself, Kathryn let out a terrifying cry. Her shrieks echoed through the palace.

"A chair, a chair!" Henry roared. A moment later he was carried into her chamber.

Kathryn flung herself at Henry's feet, careful to lay her head against his good leg. "I had a nightmare," she whispered. "I dreamed you'd tired of me."

The candles cast a flickering glow over her face and white shoulders. Henry placed his hand caressingly on bare flesh. "My sweet Kate," he said, squeezing her shoulder.

Kathryn Parr knew she was safe—for the moment.
