The Prophet Wars

THE PROPHET WARS is the fourth book of the Beech brothers series. It takes place immediately following the fulfillment of the catastrophic prophecy that was foretold in the Beech brothers' pre-apocalyptic trilogy of backstories: FOLLOW THE OWL?, THE PLASTIC TIPI and THE NONPROFIT PROPHET. The Beech brothers: Samuel "Sam" Houston, Daniel "Danny" Boone, and Jeremiah "Jerry" Johnson, set out on an adventure that unwittingly became a mystical quest for a hidden prophecy and a journey of self-discovery. They had no way of knowing that the chain reaction that was triggered by the events on that fateful Thanksgiving in FOLLOW THE OWL? would dramatically change their lives forever… and history itself. Their adventures took them from the East Texas Piney Woods, to the Colorado alpine forests, to the high deserts of Wyoming, to the sub-tundra of wild Alaska.  They encountered the beauty and savagery of nature... and "civilization"… as they attempted to live off the land and off the grid. Along the way, they met several colorful, mysterious and dangerous characters. Their quest then took them back to Texas, where the prophecy soon became a terrifying reality… and thrust Sam reluctantly into the role as the Clan's prophet and indisputable leader. Their struggle for survival was soon threatened by the emergence of even deadlier forces: evil prophets who were attempting to seize power in the chaotic aftermath of the new post-apocalyptic world.
