About This Book

Carefree, mindless, immortal, Fay, a joyous water sprite with her fairy presence mostly veiled, sometimes assumes human form to help people who need her. Inevitably, endless curiosity draws Fay back to the irresistible sea, where she plays away the centuries in happy forgetfulness - and then she meets Crazy Clade the Prophet surfing in the roiling waters brought about by the conjunction of Jupiter and Mars. In the appearance of a flying fish, Fay hooks a ride with unwary Clade. The Time-Space Spiral dumps Clade and draws Fay up into the Marsvian throne room of King Bugio, a gigantic green, red, and black grasshopper. He easily convinces the adventurous, perpetually naive fairy he needs her to deliver a lifesaving message. Her wings will signal to all of his subjects, ordering their dormancy for the sake of crops upon which all life depends. "Fay, will you be my Emissary?" "Yes, King " How can she know evil King Bugio has a nefarious plan to use her to take over the Earth before humans blow it up? How can she foresee her future will demand that she must choose between life as a Fairy and the life and love of a human being?
