Bonded together by birth and battle, the world is no longer a safe place when Kasumi, a Japanese teen, meets up with Sara, a girl from America. Together, the two girls must fight against an unknown adversary in order to save their lives. Kasumi is Bushi, with a thousand years of proud Samurai heritage. Sara is a politicians daughter, always underfoot, often ignored, with ten years practice as a spoiled brat. When Sara is attacked by terrorists, she awakens in a hidden village somewhere in the mountains of Japan. A place still guarded by Samurai for the last 700 years, she begins to find out who she is, and adopts the ancient ways that will bring her back home, and brings with it new responsibilities. To return home, she must once again face the possibility of death, while hunting down the one responsible for the attack against her. Together, the two prepare for battle on the ground and in the skies over Washington, D.C., as their enemy shows his hand and the forces of ancient Japan are once again called forth to fight a modern day battle.
