About This Book

A lesson in life: Princess Maureen thinks it's funny to try to fool people with tall tales but won't admit that her stories are complete nonsense.

Maureen's father figures out a way to teach her a lesson by creating some of the very creatures in the tales Maureen has spread.

Maureen is shocked to think her fantasies have come to life and fears that all her other lies might also come true.

Then she learns that it was a trick her father was playing on her!

At first she's upset but then she realizes that's how other people feel about her stories and finally understands that fantasy can be fun but only if you admit it's just fantasy!

Some children tell tall tales to impress others. This story is meant to help them learn the lesson that pretending fantasy is true is the same as telling a lie.
