The Poison of a Second Son

A tale of romance, betrayal and murder set during the middle of the 1800’s in North East England. Several families’ paths cross, bringing love, betrayal and murder at the hands of a black sheep in the family, whose personal greed comes before anything or anyone else. Love stories intertwine, with hatred and deceit between brothers and sisters. Robbery, murder, pirate attacks and sea battles add excitement to the tale. A young woman is wrongfully locked up in a lunatic asylum and innocent shipwrecked fathers are imprisoned by the Spanish. The action takes place in England, North Africa, Spain and Australia. Who will survive and who will perish are the questions in this family drama, as families are torn apart.
