The Pinnacle

The President of the United States finds himself caught between the proverbial rock and a hard place. The rock is an impregnable 500-foot-high stone spire in the middle of the Grand Canyon where a distraught vigilante father holds the most dangerous man in the world hostage. And the hard place is the President's 7-day time limit to free him -- alive -- or see the entire U.S. Congress murdered, along with most of Washington D.C. President Austin Tibbs is forced to team up a stubborn but imaginative Navajo park ranger who seems to be the only one capable of pulling off the rescue of the century.
