The Perfect Place

Treasure's father has been gone for two months. He's done it before -- set out to find a better home for the family, leaving Treasure, her mother, and her younger sister, Tiffany. behind. But Dad has never taken this long to send word, and Mom is tired of waiting.

Mom abandons the girls with her aunt Grace, who lives in small-town, rundown Black Lake, Virginia. Great-Aunt Grace smokes. She can't cook. She doesn't even own a TV.
