Joe Talbot's history teacher confiscates a top-secret note Joe has written. Now, Joe and Wishbone must make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands—like those belonging to a troublemaker named Curtis, who plans to show it to everyone in school. The missing note reminds Wishbone of "The Purloined Letter," a great story by Edgar Allan Poe. Wishbone imagines himself as the story's great French detective C. Auguste Dupin. As Dupin, Wishbone must find a letter that is being used by an evil government official to blackmail the queen. Now, Wishbone must go head to head with a brilliant criminal who holds the fate of France in his hands. Only a special breed of hero can sniff out this mystery and retrieve the letter before it's too late!
