Six years have passed since the last boarder war between the Sslisk Combine and the Blackmore Alliance ended. Six years since Michlon Dàj lost everything to a man who had once been his friend and commander in his old unit the 182nd. Six years since he had left the military behind and built then gave up a life that didn't suit him. Now a cargo runner and smuggler he returns to the shipyards that he had once run to see his greatest ship design turned into reality.
