Lance, one of the eccentrics in town, swishes his long net through trees, hoping to snag the souls of dead people. His fellow citizens think he's a little slow, but they live and let live and so does Lance. One day Lance finds a bottle with some strange contents that could threaten his role in town. Lance figures out what's in the bottle and discovers what his rightful place in town truly is. (short story)
