The Other Side of Silence

Anna Durham's return home to her estranged father is more a gesture of helpfulness than sincere affection. With her career and personal life on hold, the snowbound contryside of northern Wisconsin seems at first to offer needed solace to Anna for Christmas.

But a chance meeting with her father's friend, Major Andrew Gavin, an officer in The Salvation Army, sets a maelstrom of events in motion. At The Army's day-care center she meets Missy Graham, a painfully shy child whose great sad eyes beckon Anna to follow. Through Andrew she also encounters Dr. Steven Collister, a man driven in his profession and in his desire to forget the past.

Will Anna reclaim the faith of her childhood in time to salvage Missy's...and will that same faith renew Steven and bolster Andrew to face head-on their searing personal tragedies? The answers lie on the other side of silence.
