The Orples Learn To Read is the third book in the orples series. The first book, How Orples Came To Be, tells the story of how Olivia and Oscar go from oranges on a tree to orples with arms, legs, brains, and lives! The second book, The Orples Make A Tree Home, outlines the orples' first adventure and tells the story of how the orples and Jack, their human friend, turn their orange tree (The Treasure Tree) into a home suitable for an orple. In book three, Jack teaches his little orple buddies how to read. Olivia is so exited to explore the world through books she can hardly contain herself. While Oscar is content simply to enjoy life and the freedom of moving about (and sleeping in). Together, the three friends concentrate their efforts on the alphabet and the joys that reading brings.
