The One I've Been Waiting For

Terrence James Rivieres once had the perfect life. The son of hard-working, God-fearing Haitian immigrants in Kingston, Ontario, he astounds his family by winning a scholarship to Ryerson University. Once there, he embarks on a relationship with tall blonde heiress Deirdre Campbell, who leads him to the wilder side of big-city life. Hooked on a lifestyle of drinking, partying and sexual excess, Terrence loses his scholarship and ends up homeless. On the streets of Toronto he runs into his childhood friend Ayako Tokushima. The Japanese-Canadian tomboy he once played rugby with is now a gorgeous, educated young woman working for the government. She forces him to examine his life for she still believes in him after everyone else has written him off. Can a good woman save a bad boy from self-destruction ?
