About This Book

The Olde Book Shoppe, once located on Jackson Boulevard in Chicago, Illinois, thrived at the turn of the century until a fire swept it out of existence, along with the elderly proprietor, Morris Liebemacher, and an ancient magic fairy tale book. It possessed the magical qualities of providing answers for those drawn to its pages. The Gods deliberated of the loss of this treasure, causing them to decree that the bookshop and the fairy tale book would appear when a need arose and disappear when the need was met. The tales herein are designed to capture the hearts of those who encounter this book. They are examples of the miracles that occur when the old adage – Let Go and Let God is invoked. Angel in the Shadows is about an Angel assigned to correct a terrible wrong. Hidden in the loft of the bookshop, he waits patiently until the intended recipient of his blessings drops by to browse. In The Genie, an unsuspecting browser rubs a certain bottle in the shop's collection, bringing to an end a thousand-year-old curse of infidelity. The Green Dress on display in the window of the shop attracts the attention of a passing woman whose lost love is found within the pages of the fairy tale book. The sound of Sleigh Bells coming from the magical book draws a young man to its pages where he is able to look through the curtain of time to another plane of existence and a surprise visit with this grandfather. And, the story of The Crystal Ball will give hope to those who discover that true love can be found in the most unlikely places. These are but five of the fourteen tales offered in this book.
