About This Book

The Oil Spill begins deep inside Manhattan when authorities find the body of CEO Percy Morrow near his condo a few weeks after the spill. Everyone quickly assumes suicide; after all, the evidence points in that direction and suicide would be an easy escape from all the venom directed at Morrow over the spill. Morrow's only advocate (and a slim one at that) is spokesman Chuck Howe, one of the few within Premier who still believes in the company. In his fight to polish Premier's tarnished image and clean up Morrow's name, Howe tries to keep the suicide private. But other issues complicate his task. He's still grieving from the recent death of his wife. Disturbing leaks to the press continue to occur. And a powerful board member abruptly announces his retirement, short-circuiting the expected succession plans. All that pales, however, when Camilla Bentz, a fierce enemy of Premier, arrives out of nowhere as the new CEO.
