Across America, obese people suddenly turn into berserk killers. When they come to their senses, they have no memory of what they have done. Their victims only have one thing in common: they were skinny.
 
Government scientist Dr. Elaine Cassano soon discovers that a bizarre food additive is to blame. The more fat tissue a person has, the angrier the additive makes them. And it is based on medical technology far beyond any known science.
 
As more people die, Elaine follows clues that hint at a food industry conspiracy to make America obese. But when she learns the truth, it will turn her world upside down.
