About This Book

THE NONPROFIT PROPHET is the third book of Beech brothers pre-apocalyptic tales. The Beech brothers: Samuel Houston "Sam", Daniel Boone "Danny", and Jeremiah Johnson "Jerry", were introduced in FOLLOW THE OWL? and continued in THE PLASTIC TIPI. They had no way of knowing that the Thanksgiving tragedy triggered a chain reaction that would dramatically change their lives forever… and possibly history itself. It set in motion a series of events that would lead the brothers on a search for adventure that became a quest of self-discovery and a spiritual journey. It would take them from the East Texas Piney Woods to the Colorado alpine forests to the high deserts of Wyoming to the wild Alaskan bush. Upon their return to Texas, they encountered more surprises... both joyful and terrifying. Along the way, they met several mysterious, colorful and dangerous characters. They attempted to learn how to live off the land and encountered the beauty and savagery of nature... and "civilization". Although the evidence continued to mount, Sam was still reluctant to believe that he was really a modern day prophet. His brothers, on the other hand, needed no more convincing and dubbed Sam the Nonprofit Prophet. But could the horrific, cataclysmic prophecy be true? NOTE: CONTAINS STRONG LANGUAGE AND SOME VIOLENCE
