The Mourning Trail

Tracking the footprints of Eric, the companions are forced to overcome curses and mystical contests as they retrace the doleful swath of destruction that they caused, to seek a forbidden doorway to the lands of the Norse Gods. The mind of a true warrior is deeply explored. Eric, a champion fighter, is an uncommon soldier of brutal viking raids, wielding sword and shield in an age where armies clash nose-to-nose on savage battlefields. Eric kills for a living, understands war and strategy, and is determined to die the noblest death of all time by pissing off as many kings and noblemen as he can.
