THE STORY: "The Morrisey Spearhead" is book 2 of the "Commandos" series, a sequel to the cliffhanger-ending of book 1, "A Summer Like No Other," To many, book 1 will have read like erotic fantasy. It isn't; it's all woven out of real ancient heathen mystic lore; the coming-of-age story of Frieda Ziegler, one of four god-sprung girls incarnated to carry out an earthly mission on behalf of ancient gods determined to overthrow Christianity and resume their place in the heavenly pantheon. In the current book, "The Morrisey Spearhead," the genre switches from "Coming-of-Age" to "Urban Mystery Thriller," again based on actual ancient mystic lore. A modern blacksmith knows the ancient lost art of crafting a magic weapon powerful enough to rule the world, but his knowledge costs him his life when the weapon falls into the wrong hands. Getting it into the right hands becomes a cross country quest destined to throw a college professor, his doctoral candidate girlfriend, a venturesome student, the student's humble but steadfast girlfriend, and a wizard versed in the ancient and secret arts together in a harrowing common cause. A first class murder mystery that will keep the reader both chuckling and guessing about deep dark ancient mysteries and contemporary human nature.
