The Mission of Alexis Dering

Alexis Dering is the son of a rich lord in Exeter, England.
When he learns that his ancestors were frauds and hypo-
crites, guilty of unspeakable crimes, he decides to strike
out on his own, leaving his wealth and potential position
behind.

Despite his desire to help humanity and live a peaceful life,
he runs into endless obstacles. His life is filled with unrequited
love and tragedy. Only late in life does he discover true love,
and hope to live the life he has always desired.
