It cost Rex Corvan megabucks and his right eye, but the miniaturized camcorder implant made him News Network 56's Man Cam, the top reporter on the tube. Whatever Corvan "saw" went out via satellite, and millions of news junkies in America's overpopulated cities loved him...even if pretty video technician Kim Kio called him a macho TV cowboy.

Now he needed Kim to decode a data disk he got from a dying terrorist. Corvan believed it contained evidence about Matrix Man, a hi-tech project controlled by a group who may have already assassinated the president and now had plans for world domination.
