The Martian Inheritance

Mars. For those on Earth, Mars was a place of legends and adventure. It was the first planet colonized by Earth and the first colony to break away from the United Nation's control. Mars was the first dumping ground of undesirables from earth prior to the invention of the Doohan drive. After that the galaxy was open to the world. To Athena Lee, Martian culture and technology were only facts on a page. She had no direct knowledge of the place. Few did. But Commodore Vakulinchuk escaped the destruction of his command ship during the Battle of the Rock. He's now a fugitive from justice hiding on Mars. Both his own government and that of the New League wants his head on a plate. Athena Lee and Dar are being sent on a secret mission. Find Vakulinchuk and ensure that Justice is served. Nothing else matters. Unfortunately for Athena there is more. Much much more. Her mother came from Mars and unknown to either Athena or her sister, she still has family there. Very powerful family.
