THE MAN WHO HATED THE LIGHT FROM THE SKY, mystery: Lisset Greene, while sketching at the beach, finds the bodies of a young mother and her infant child. The murdered girl is the great-granddaughter of The Man Who Hated the Light From the Sky, a smuggler of young girls into California and founder of the town. The beach is the same one where the smuggled girls were landed. Lisset and Jake Tucker become convinced that the two crimes, decades apart, are somehow connected.
