The Man Who Blew His Mind

Michael Bannerman could remember just a few months of his life, and during most of that time he had been living in a small locked room at the Institute.
For the past two months he had been in the community, trying to recover his mind. What he did not know was that every room in his flat was fitted with CCTV.
He was the victim of a traffic accident, he had been told. But the regular nightmares suggested a different story, a story of violence in an African country gripped by civil war.
It was only as his memory returned that he began to understand the enormity of what he had done and why he was so important. With the knowledge came the determination that he would never reveal the secrets locked in his mind, no matter what they did to him.
