The Man in Black

Archer Quinn's latest mission for the railroad to track down the thief Leighton Cox seems straightforward enough, but when he follows his quarry to his hometown of Bigelow Springs events take a strange turn.Leighton is killed and before he dies he claims that he was shot by the man in black. At first this declaration bemuses Archer as that described the figure displayed on the old sign hanging outside his brother's mercantile.When more people are killed Archer sets out to track down the mystery gunslinger, but it soon becomes clear that to stop the gunman's murderous rampage he will have to confront something that's even more troubling: a shameful secret that his family had hoped would remain buried forever.
