Nick Graves is looking for honest work, and making a living from the dead is as good a job as any and better than most. A man with a gnarled shooting hand and a dark secret who's already weathered quite a few savage storms, Graves has chosen Jessup, Nebraska, as the town in which to ply his trade as funeral arranger and coffin maker. And he's come to the right place, because the law in Jessup is corrupt and folks here die quick ... and often.
