The Lordly One

Carey Lord at the age of thirty-six suddenly found himself guardian to two orphaned girls. Dee, an uncomplicated schoolgirl, was easy enough to manage, but eighteen-year-old Morgan, unpredictable as the sorceress after whom she was named, untamed and wayward as the March winds, suspicious and resentful, needed very careful handling indeed.

The wild, unspoiled Cornish coast makes a fitting background for this tender story of how Carey and Morgan gradually came to understand each other, and how she discovered that he was more than just the arrogant "lordly one" she had nicknamed him.
