The Long Way Around

Missouri 1850. After tragedy strikes Charlotte Healy's family, the only choice for a fresh beginning is to sell the farm and head west with her husband. They strike out on the trail towards California with all its golden promises, jumping off the map into the Unorganized Territories toward their destiny. However, along the trail tragedy strikes again, and Charlotte finds herself stranded and alone. Her only chance of survival and making it to the West Coast depends on a traveling family heading to Oregon after they pick her up. Together with their guide Solomon, Charlotte finds that the road to a new beginning isn't always so easily traveled.
