The Long Road Home

An ice storm strands Gwen at the airport on Christmas Eve, four hours from home and half a country away from her family. Downtrodden and sad, she debates what to do when she literally bumps into an old college crush.



Logan intends to spend the holidays alone, still adapting to the loss of his left foot courtesy of a roadside bomb in Afghanistan. Looking at a permanent disability, military discharge, along with pitiful looks and limited opportunities, he feels anything but the holiday spirit. Then he finds Gwen and can't resist assisting the pretty little damsel in distress by offering to allow her to stay with him until the roads are safe for travel once more.



She sees past his prosthesis to the man within, the same man she fell in love with four years ago in dance class. His emotional toll weighs on her, spurring her to step up, show him that his physical changes didn't make him less than a whole man. He's a hero, and a man she couldn't get enough of.
