The Long Game

There is nothing fast or easy about diplomacy.   Hillary Clinton Spies, provocateurs, experts in torture, kidnapping, and murder--this is the world of the CIA in post-Cold War Latin America. His sins include using his office to help individuals fleeing Chile for political reasons, subverting CIA operations, and even marrying one woman wanted by the Chilean secret police to give her a new start in the U.S. His victories are small, his disappointments many, but Michael is no quitter. As he mves up the diplomatic ranks and into his own ambassadorship, De Benedetti makes powerful friends and enemies. One enemy in particular, a ruthless and ambitious CIA agent, vows to do everything he can to destroy Michael and end his influence, maybe even his life.
