Will their pasts be too difficult to overcome or can Katie and Max create a love strong enough to last a lifetime? Katie Green knew she wanted to be a lawyer. The goal was part of her plan for as long as she could remember. She had the lists tucked safely in her journals to prove it. With her tenacity and hard work, she graduated top of her class from Harvard Law. But no one ever told her about the difficulties that arise after the diploma, like getting a job. Her fiance would rather she didn't work, but she's accomplished too much to give up her dream. Max Legend is the lead singer of a popular Christian rock band. He's kind, talented, and beyond gorgeous. He's also sure of his destiny, which includes sharing the good news of God's love through music. But his father has other plans. He wants Max to take over their billion-dollar family business. Katie and Max meet at The Attic. It's obviously divine intervention, but they are stubborn. After an impassioned kiss, they go their separate ways. But providence has other plans for the two of them. They are continuously thrown together and rather quickly get to know each other. On paper they don't seem to work, but when they're together all laws are thrown out the window. They are like a bird with a beautiful song, a cabbie on the streets of New York City, or a crisp wave crashing against the Maui shore-a perfect fit.
