The Last Cross

Sergeant Weston left his family to join the war out of necessity. Now six years later he is still fighting. While in the middle of a fierce battle something strange happens; there is a sudden bright flash of light, and then total darkness. When Sgt. Weston’s vision returns, many of his men are missing and the only thing left is their uniforms in a pile lying on the ground. With the mysterious losses on both sides, the war is abruptly ended. Sgt. Weston then returns to a country and a world he no longer recognizes. A corrupted government vies to control every aspect of the lives of the people, and at any cost. Society has become rigid, violent, and invasive. A few who resist the new way of life band together in an attempt to bring back the old world ways. Even Sgt. Weston becomes involved on a level he hardly expected, and these protests soon become an act of survival in this new, strange world.
