The Last Anasazi

The year is 2078. One hundred and thirty-six year old Viet Nam vet Memphis Tennessee lies dying in a VA hospital in Denver knowing that if he dies without telling his story, a mystery that has plagued historians for hundreds of years about the sudden disappearance of the Anasazi Indian nation from the Southwest U.S. in the late 1200's will die with him. As his story is told to a newspaper reporter, an unbelievable tale of the macabre unfolds against the beautiful backdrop of Mesa Verde National Park in SW Colorado. In this story of mayhem and murder, the lives of several strangers become intimately intertwined in a small Colorado town as evil pits the goodness of 700 year old David Longbow, the last Anasazi, Memphis, a beautiful Navajo epidemiologist, a surly park ranger, and local police against a demon by the name of Legion who unleashes a ruthless zombie force to retake the land from the hated white man. This action thriller poses a theory as to why the Anasazi disappeared without a trace focusing on the eternal battles of good versus evil, flesh versus spirit, and man versus his Creator.
