Duncan Grigsby is an aging Vietnam veteran with most of his impoverished life behind him. His life in Cheyenne, Wyoming has been peaceful for years and years until, that is, he meets a certain librarian who he fancies as a future lover. However, Miss Brooks turns out to be something Duncan never bargained for, a sinister and jealous ghost. Through his confrontations and strange events with the ghost he met a marvelous woman named Serena. Love made its way to his heart, but the ghost continued to disrupt his life.
