Working at his first job, Royce "Del-Roy" DelGattabambino discovers how Dr. Morris Massey spoke the truth with his presentation, "What You Are Now Is What You Were When." Working as a dishwasher at a local diner, Del-Roy is condemned to endure the trials that arise when an American becomes a disposable worker earning minimum wage. The trials which are a rite of passage for America's teenagers. In doing so, Del-Roy emerges as young man who must come into his own despite all the adversity he will face.
