Locran Hunter returned to find the woman he loved had succumbed to her desire for betterment, married to his brother, and now inherited half of his family's home. Locran's impulse was to buy out Kathleen O'Hara and see her and her seductive charms on their way. Yet he still very much desired those charms. So he made her an offer: he would share the house with her -- if she would share his bed.

Kathleen didn't care about the mansion but she loved Locran. She would agree to his offer, for while she might not have Locran's love, at least she could prove she was innocent as charged!
