The Husband Demand

Reyner de Lony scours holy writings searching for absolution from the incident that killed his younger brother. He answers Annade Greylond's demand for a husband, hoping to make peace with her brother and restore her besieged lands without bloodshed as a final atonement for his crime. But Annade discovers her father's empty grave, and learns the true reason her lands are under siege. To save the woman he loves from fratricide Reyner may have to carry out the very act of violence he's spent most of his life doing penance for.
