About This Book

Ten-year-old Addie Mills feels cheated, since year after year her father hasn't let her have a Christmas tree. What's worse, he refuses to give her a reason. Addie respects her father, and she knows he loves her, but somehow they can't express their feelings.

Luckily Addie has her grandmother's support and friendship, but even Grandma can't get Addie's father to change his mind. Addie knows she should just stop hoping for a Christmas tree.

Then, to her surprise, Addie finds a way to make her dream come true. What will her father say?

The House Without a Christmas Tree was first introduced as a CBS-TV Special, and won both an Emmy Award and a Christopher Award.
