When gang activity and other increasingly disturbing signs of societal dysfunction begin to draw the Shuler's sixteen-year-old daughter, Heather in, a choice is made to seek a quiet, more suitable environment to raise their children – the small town of Felton, Georgia. However, it seems that small towns are not immune to evil and despicable acts. Soon, Heather becomes tormented by early morning visits from a terrifying apparition that apparently resides in her new bedroom. When her parents refuse to believe that a ghost is haunting her, Heather is driven to find her own answers. With the assistance of her friend, Amy, Heather begins researching the house and its past occupants. Ultimately, what she uncovers are the unsolved murders of Peter and Mary Hanes, a married couple that had been tragically murdered fourteen years earlier. Heather becomes distraught when she realizes that the killer or killers were never caught, and only a single witness was ever questioned – Carl Maze. Heather soon combines forces with Carl in search of the truth and eventually they enlist the help of Peter Hanes' ghost. As they delve into the case, the truth is soon revealed regarding the terrible events of that day. Will the killers now be brought to justice or will they get away with murder?
