The High Ground

"Something whooshed down directly at the San Francisco-to-Oakland Bay Bridge; but the subsequent explosion on the upper deck was heard throughout cities around the bay, as the sound bounced between hills and across canyons and water. A thick column of black smoke rose high in the air over the bay from Yerba Buena Island, and flames could be seen amid the wreckage of both decks by nearby residents. Vehicles screeched their brakes, crashed into each other, and even went into the water below. There followed a brief but unforgettable television message: ‘To the people of San Francisco and the Bay Area. At this moment, you are all hostages. My hostages'… " So begins the terrifying tale of a city held hostage and plunged into panic. As a group of unknown persons attacks from San Francisco's highest ground, and threatens even more, law enforcement and politicians scramble to contain the threat. But they don't reckon on the genius and precision planning of the man who controls of The High Ground.
