When Ashley Martin's grandfather was alive, he told her to always move ahead in life, that it was OK to burn bridges sometimes. Left just before her marriage by her ex-fiance, Ashley has burned her bridges behind in Seattle to come to work for the summer as the cook at a salmon cannery on Eagle Island in Alaska. The problem is the cannery's owner, Tyler St. Clair. He doesn't believe that Ashley has the experience, the expertise, or the stamina to handle the job and wants her to take the next plane home. But Ashley no longer has a home. Can she convince the adamant Tyler to change his mind? Can these two strong-willed people fight off the mutual attraction that has been sparked between them?
