The Haircut!

I come from a small town in Texas. There is one little store and three churches. On one side of the road is the Baptist church. Across the road is the Methodist church and on the corner of the road is the Church of Christ. We have what we used to call a traveling preacher. He would preach at one church and when he finished, then everyone would get up and go to the second church and he would preach again. Then everyone moved to the third church. It was just about an all day process. It is important for you to know this because there was a man that lived in the community named Pop Jenkins. I am sure that was not his first name but that's all anyone knew him by. Pop is the center of this story. He was the leader of the community deacons in all three churches. He was also the town barber.
