About This Book

Dionis Ward was an interior decorator, and a very good one, too; so when her sister got engaged to a Spaniard it seemed the natural thing to get Dionis to make the trip to Spain and do up the villa they planned to live in. But the villa's landlord, Don Juan Vicente de Velez y Strebelo, had other ideas about the whole thing! He was a landlord on an almost feudal scale, and with all the high-born Spaniard's disapproval of any woman, especially a young and attractive one, working for her living and in such a manner. So the sparks flew between him and Dionis from the start -- and it didn't help when her old and dear friend Cesare Delusi arrived, and gave Don Juan entirely the wrong idea about that too!

Hero: Don Juan Vicente de Velez y Strebelo
