The Greater Burden of Sadness

The once great human civilisation and its clever machines are no more. Even it couldn't survive a 10,000 year ice age. Now the ice is melting, surviving species are trying to make sense of the past and build new civilisations of their own.



Among elephants, curiosity is highly prized. But curiosity is a double edged sword. Reginald knows the danger he runs by reaching out to pull the ancient artefact from the ice, but his youthful curiosity and desire to impress Marjorie make it seem like the risk is worth it. It could finally explain what happened to the humans.
