The Great Tradition

Chris Marlow arrived to claim his title with innocent eyes. Small wonder that he was dazzled by the false glitter of his new world. He found it in the lobbies of luxury hotels that were the meeting places of those who made treacherous bargains. He saw it again in the drawing rooms of palaces and royal country estates, which became the battlegrounds for ambitions, conflicts and betrayals. By the time Chris could see it all for what it really was, it was already being extinguished by the Nazi madness.
