The Golden Hour

After nineteen years of marriage, two roaring decades as an investment banker, and forty-six years in the bustle of upper-crust Manhattan, Bill Schoenberg has made one regrettable mistake and lost it all. Spurred by his mysterious downfall, he finds himself fleeing to rural Harristown, New York, abandoning his luxury apartment for the hilariously awkward mini-mansion he recently bought for his wife. In sleepy Harristown, blowhard Bill has no ability to blend in with the locals or the foliage--or to leave the dark forces that destroyed his marriage completely behind. However, when Bill runs across the town's ragtag volunteer firefighting company, he stumbles onto the possibility of redemption and the chance, for the first time in his halfhearted life, to save the day.
