The God Imitation

Amelia is the last purebred Human. Having eluded genetic re-engineering, she lives among the Swimmers, a breed modified with gills, webbed extremities and sharpened teeth. Often the object of discrimination and prejudice, she only has her reckless godfather for support. But then the scientists arrive, with plans to remove Amelia for research. This 'research' has been commissioned by a man named Josiah: the Great Authority of the United Nations of Asia. Unknown to Amelia, she is the key to the religious revolution that Josiah has planned: a revolution that will see him rise to universal authority.
