An archaeological dig finds clues linking the aristocratic Sinclair family to its Templar past and origins in France. Loose talk leads to a robbery, abduction and chase across Europe in the quest to find the stolen Sinclair treasure and the beautiful Sinclair heiress, Fran. In the process, archaeologist Ben Harris falls in love with Fran and after rescuing her in Paris and losing his job, is drawn to the north by her allure.
